Camtac Patio Door Roller
The Camtac® Patio Door Roller fits door profiles from old door manufacturers e.g. Clearway, Kal, AGI etc. that utilised 18 mm wide and 21 mm as well as combined 18 and 21 mm wide profiles. The patented mechanism makes adjusting or removal easy. Designed to support 25 kg load per roller continuously with rolling distances exceeding 350 km of travel.
Adjustment of the operating height of the Roller is accomplished by taking the weight off the Roller by slightly lifting one side of the door and utilising a No 2 Pozidrive screwdriver and screwing in to raise and out to lower.
To insert a new Roller into the bottom rail profile of the door it is not necessary to dismantle the frame except if removing a non Camtac® roller that proves difficult. Place the angled lead-in of the Roller body in the opening of the bottom rail as well as the Tee shaped retainer in the profile of the upright of the door. Press or gently tap the Roller body ‘only’ (NOT THE WHEEL) to insert Roller into bottom rail. To remove a Camtac® Patio Door Roller simply take a flat screwdriver with a 6 mm to 8 mm (1/4” to 5/16”) wide blade and place the shank in the profile of the wheel with the blade under the bent lip of the screw retaining Endpiece of the Roller and tap the handle sharply. This should pop the first part of the Roller out of the bottom rail; thereafter the Roller can be pulled out.
Precautions:
- Do not drop door onto rail profile
- Lift door slightly to adjust the door height
- Avoid bumping into door and knocking Roller off the rail profile
- Keep rail profile clean and free of debris and dust, mud etc.
